Warranty and Limited Liability Policy

This Warranty and Limited Liability Policy governs workmanship warranties and liability limitations for services provided by Shack Solutions.
Shack Solutions provides a limited workmanship warranty covering defects directly attributable to installation services performed by Shack Solutions. The standard workmanship warranty period is one year from the date of substantial completion unless otherwise specified in writing.
The workmanship warranty applies only to installation quality and does not extend to manufacturer defects, product malfunctions unrelated to installation, normal wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, environmental exposure, misuse, unauthorized alterations, or damage caused by third parties. Manufacturer warranties apply solely according to their respective terms.
If a defect in workmanship arises during the warranty period, the client must notify Shack Solutions in writing. Shack Solutions shall be given reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct the issue. The sole remedy under this warranty is repair or correction of the defective workmanship. Shack Solutions shall not be obligated to provide refunds, replacements beyond repair, or compensation for related damages.
Warranty coverage is void if installed systems or construction elements are modified, relocated, repaired, or tampered with by anyone other than Shack Solutions without prior written authorization.
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law, Shack Solutions’ total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. Shack Solutions shall not be liable for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, emotional distress, or consequential damages.
Nothing in this policy limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
